November 15: 1pm—2pm

In this lunch and learn we will discuss the complexity of pain with James McCall. Topics include nociception, biopsychosocial model, coping strategies, and common misconceptions. This lunch and learn will give you a better understanding of pain and how to treat it. Dr. James McCall is a graduate of FCIM and is currently working with Whole Family Healthcare in Lake Marry and has a passion for pain science and rehab.

Lunch & Learn: TCM and Andrology

November 8: 1pm—2pm

In this Lunch & Learn with new instructor to FCIM Dr. Lisa Lapwing, she'll introduce the topic of her specialty, TCM and Andrology. Dr. Lapwing has been specializing in Andrology (Men's Health) since 2012 including not just the treatment of hundreds of male patients but also educating on the subject for FSOMA (Florida State Oriental Medical Association), AOMA (AOMA School of Integrative Medicine; where she graduated from) and SUNA (the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates). In this hour she'll introduce the subject of Andrology, discuss some of the most common conditions that may walk through your clinic door and discuss how to decide if treating Andrological conditions with TCM is right for you. Come with your questions and curiosity at the ready!

Join Dr. Catherine Craig from NOOCI Wellness for 'Creating a Foundation of Yin & Yang through Dietary Therapy and Common Herbs'

Through food and herbs, we have the ability to recreate the world as ourselves. By supporting the lungs, spleen and Chong Mai, we are able to create an incredible foundation of qi and blood within the body. This talk will focus on elemental dietary therapy for constitutional support, where we'll review how to best support the Taiyin circuit and the extraordinary vessel of the Chong Mai through dietary therapy and basic herbal additions. Come with a curious mind and questions.
