Student VISA and I-20 Application Process

** Many of the required forms are available online or may be obtained from the admissions department. Because the application process takes considerably more time for an international student, it is highly recommended that you begin the application process no less than 6 months prior to the desired start date. Once the student has been accepted, FCIM will issue an I-20. At that time, the student can apply for their VISA. Please tell FCIM if you are bringing any family members with you as we will have to adjust the I-20 accordingly. There is a $80 fee per F2 applicant. This fee is non-refundable.

Since the application process takes considerably more time for an international student, it is highly recommended that you begin the application process no less than 6 months prior to the desired start date for enrollment.

Once the applicant has been accepted, FCIM will issue a I-20. At that time, the applicant is eligible to apply for the Student VISA. Please notify us if you are bringing any additional family members with you; if so, the applicant's I-20 would need to be adjusted accordingly.

Students coming from other countries are advised to have arrived in Orlando at a minimum of 2-3 weeks prior to starting class. This is to allow for the time it takes to arrange for housing, transportation, insurance, bank account, utilities and etc.
