Lin Chai, M.D., D.O.M, Ph.D. China

Dr. Chai earned her Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology.  The Ph.D. degree was earned at Beijing University Of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Chai studied diseases and treatment under the guidance of the celebrated Professor Dong Jian Hua.  She completed a systematic study of the treatment infectious diseases and digestive system diseases with Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Her doctoral dissertation is entitled "The Clinical and Experimental Study of Stomach-Spleen Damp-heat Syndrome." 

Dr. Chai has combined acupuncture, massage, guasha and other traditional Chinese therapies, including herbal medicine, to treat a wide variety of diseases with positive results.  From 1990 to 1996, she studied at Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She treated sequelae of apoplexy with acupuncture, massage and herbal medicine in a clinic in the suburbs of Beijing.  She worked as an attending physician in Dongzhimen Hospital and attended patients in their homes to give medical advice and acupuncture treatment.  She has been professionally related to Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Zhen  Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.   Her academic achievements include the writing and publishing various academic articles.


Oksana Kless, M.D.

Dr. Kless graduated from the Medical University of Kiev, Ukraine with magna cum laud in 1990.  Her training combined a traditional medicine approach with numerous Naturopathic modalities, such as nutrition, herbal medicine and physiotherapy.  After receiving her doctorate diploma, Dr. Kless was accepted into a fellowship program at the National College of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatric Medicine. 

She has participated in clinical research in Dermatology and continues her work as a research scientist.  She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Respiratory Physiology with a dedication to hypobaric oxygenation.  At FCIM, Dr. Kless acts as the Dean of Modern Western Medicine and teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Radiology, and Microbiology.

Lynn Hoffman Thames graduated UCF with a Masters of Arts degree in counselor eduction and has 12 years of experience as a mental health counselor in various settings. She completed her MSOM at FCIM and owns and operates her own private practice in Orlando where she specializes in gynecology, internal medicine, mental health issues, and food therapy. Dean Thames currently teaches Case Studies II, Clinical Psychiatry, and Food Therapy. As part of the academic team at FCIM, Dean Thames is currently working on the Curriculum Review Committee and the development of new academic programs.

 

Jacqueline YT Cheng, D.O.M., Dipl. O.M.

Jacqueline earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Hong Kong, China. She completed her master’s degree Suma Cum Laude in Oriental Medicine at Florida College of Integrative Medicine and was on the Dean List for six semesters consecutively. She is also NCCAOM, Nationally Board Certified, and Florida State Licensed and has recently relocated back to Orlando from Miami to join the FCIM family as a faculty member, professor, clinical supervisor, and clinic director. Jacqueline ran a very busy practice in Miami having wonderful results for High Blood Pressure, Headache, Stroke, Stress & Depression Management, Pain Management, Gastro-intestinal Diseases and Internal Diseases. Currently, Jacqueline is the Clinic Director for FCIM. Her focus is on improving clinical education standards, benefits patients in integrative medicine and promotes community awareness on disease prevention. She has a diverse business and administrative background in customer relations. Her enthusiasm enables interns to achieve their dream, their career and their great success.

 

 


AdamsonCraig P. Adamson, B.S, A.P.

Craig P. Adamson has been a professor at FCIM since 1998.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Central Florida in 1976 and worked as engineer in the high-tech electronics industry until the early 1990’s.  He received a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the National College of Oriental Medicine in 1995 and a year later studied in Beijing, China where he received advanced training in acupuncture and TCM at the Xi Yuan Hospital. 

He first began to teach at the T’ai College of Oriental Medicine in 1997 where he taught Point Location, Food Therapy, and Gynecology for three years.  He currently owns a successful private practice in Winter Park, FL.  Professor Adamson currently teaches Point Location, Ear and Scalp Acupuncture and General Principles of Acupuncture at FCIM.

Currently is a faculty member of Western Medicine department of FCIM, teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Western Diagnostic, Neuroanatomy, Clinical Neurology.

 

 

AzulaAkyiaa Azula, A.P.

Ms. Azula started her acupuncture career back in the early 1980’s in the inner city of New York. As a graduate of BAAANA Institute of Acupuncture she worked at a grassroots level to provide acupuncture and holistic health care to underserved communities through out Harlem. She later went on to complete a Bachelors of
Science in Nutrition Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Continuing to further her education she graduated from Florida College of Integrated Medicine with a Masters in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelors in Professional Health Studies. Ms. Azula is a faculty member and clinic supervisor at the Florida College of Integrated Medicine. She teaches Traditional Chinese
Medicine Diagnosis and Common Diseases: Internal Medicine. Her teaching
experience includes designing a board review course and writing two textbooks to
help acupuncturist pass their national exam. She also teaches seminars on Mind-
Body Medicine such as BodyTalk and Medical Intuition. She currently has a private
practice in Orlando.

Monica Gelpi, AP earned her Masters of Oriental Medicine after graduating from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2001. She continued post-graduate studies at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. Her clinical experience includes the treatment of patients for gynecology, pain management, chemical dependencies, emotional imbalances, auto-immune diseases and headaches or insomnia.

Currently, Monica is the Clinical superviser of Florida College of Integrative Medicine (FCIM). As superviser she oversees the clinical practice of students and would like to encourage those interested in receiving an acupuncture treatment, whether it is for health reasons or for curiosity’s sake, to come into our student clinic. It will be an enjoyable experience.

Monica also teaches the General & Clean Needle Techniques class at FCIM to prepare students for their clinical internship and supervises them in clinic to prepare students for their future clinical practice.


Bernice Cabrera, A.P.

A graduate of FCIM, Mrs. Bernice Cabrera has over six years of experience as an Acupuncture Physician.  Certified in Acupoint Injection Therapy, Mrs. Bernice Cabrera specializes in treating children with Autism, ADHD, and other medical conditions related to nutritional problems.  She owns and operates a successful clinic in Winter Park, FL.  Mrs. Bernice Cabrera currently acts as a Supervising Physician in the clinic at FCIM.



Patricia Daniel-Gregory, A.P.

Mrs. Daniel-Gregory graduated from the National College of Oriental Medicine in 2000.  She then pursued an advanced internship at the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jinan, China. 

She operates her own private practice in Titusville, FL and specializes in areas such as acute and chronic pain, respiratory problems, headaches, smoking cessation, and internal medicine.  At FCIM, she teaches Identification of Disease Patterns and acts as a supervising physician in the clinic.

 

Wes EadesWes Eades A.P.

Wes Eades, AP earned a MSOM from FCIM; graduated magna cum laude. He holds
a Master of Auricular Medicine and is a certified NADA Acupuncture Detoxification
Specialist.

His training has an integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine approach with a wide array
of therapeutic bodywork techniques and modalities. He is a Board certified, FL Licensed
Acupuncturist, Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork; and a FL
and NY State LMT with 30 years of massage experience.

Professor Eades, currently teaches Tuina; Oriental Bodywork at FCIM and owns
a successful private acupuncture practice in Winter Park, FL. focusing on pain
management.

 

Xiangling He, M.D. China, D.O.M.

Dr. He graduated from Fujuan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1966 with advanced studies in Endocrinology and Laser Medicine Science from Sen-yet San University of Science . 

She has treated over 300,000 patients and has over 35 years of clinical experience in areas such as Infertility, Diabetic Neuropathy, ADHD, Soft Tissue Injuries, Alopecia, Glandular Dysfunction, and Depression.  She has served as a Medical Doctor at the Guangzhou Municipal Hospital and in the Kuwait Health Department, Kuwait. 

She has given many lectures across the United States and received prestigious awards for various publications.  Dr. He currently acts as a supervising physician in the clinic and teaches Treatment of Common Diseases at FCIM.


LeeJeanie Lee, D.A.O.M, Dipl. O.M.

Dr. Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree from SookMyung Women's University in Seoul, Korea. She began her career in Chicago, Illinois, at a large insurance company, where she held many positions, including Director of Procedures and Underwriting Manager. She left after 18 years in order to start up a new Internal Medicine medical practice, as an administrator, in Sebring, Florida. She has successfully managed this practice for the past 14 years.

Dr. Lee received a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from the FCIM in January of 2003. She then earned her doctoral degree of Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in October of 2007, with a specialization in Women's Health and Geriatrics. Her graduating class was the first in the United States to receive accredited doctoral degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

She participated in a doctoral internship with Dr. Lichun Huang, a leading expert in Auricular medicine. Dr. Lee continues her studies abroad with experts worldwide, at the Greenville cancer research clinic in Taiwan, the Kyung Hee University in Korea, and the Comaul Oriental Hospital in Korea.

She is board certified in Oriental Medicine and is a member of the Society of Acupuncture research. She currently practices Oriental Medicine in Sebring, Florida.

Dr. MoralesLiz D. Morales, M. D.

Dr. Morales earned her M. D. from the Iberoamerican School of Medicine (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 2003.  After completing her medical education she was accepted for a Gynecology & Pediatric internship at the Metropolitan Hospital in San German, Puerto Rico.  She recently joined the Florida College of Integrative Medicine, serving as Professor in Western Medicine covering the subject of Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Radiology and Microbiology.  Over her professional career she has worked in the public and private sectors as well as in academic research settings.  She is also engaged in teaching and research activities to promote cultural-competency and patient-centered care in the medical school curricula.

Steve Moreau is an Acupuncture Physician, licensed in the Florida.   His interest in natural healing started in his early college years with an avid interest in herbal healing that has since expanded. After college while seeking answers for his own health he was introduced to acupuncture. This proved to be the beginning of a health odyssey of sorts and along the way completed several clinical tours in Sri Lanka in 1996 and 1997. His overseas experience exposed him to an integrated approach to health care. He graduated with a Masters in Oriental Medicine from The Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2006.
 His interest in natural healing has leaded him into extensive training in nutritional consulting, metabolic disorders, and neurotransmitter testing and related modalities.   His core belief is that true healing comes by assisting the body’s natural healing potential using the best of Eastern healing with the understanding of modern Western science.  To this end he employs a wide variety of healing techniques from herbs and acupuncture to massage and nutritional supplements in the quest to heal the whole person.
Currently Mr. Moreau, is on the faculty of the Florida College of Integrative Medicine where he teaches a variety of courses including Food Therapy, and Herb /Drug  Interactions.

His main hobby is organic farming and has completed a 4 year farm apprenticeship where he observed the true health comes from properly grown produce and grass-fed animal

 

LeeMarna Rasmussen, A.P.

Ms. Rasmussen completed her under-graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin –Milwaukee, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts General majoring in Botany in 1981. She received her massage certification in 1988 and had her own Massage practice before graduating from FCIM (formerly National College of
Oriental Medicine) in 2002. She started her private acupuncture practice, Healing Ways, focusing in the treatment of pain. Her treatment experience includes working in a pain management clinic, a chiropractor’s office, and a physical therapy clinic.
These experiences have given her the clinical knowledge and has continued to fuel the passion she has for Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Chengchao Yin D.O.M, AP

Dr. Yin graduated from the Guang Xi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine mainland China as an honor student awarded by the Guang Xi province. She has established her residency combining with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine for three years. As chief physician, she worked in the pulmonary department and emergency room at the Guang Xi Gui Lin People’s Hospital in China. 

Having integrated Chinese medicine and Western medicine, Dr. Yin has seen about 60,000 patients including 30,000 (major for pain management and internal medicine) at a physical therapy center in the U.S. With over ten years of clinical experience, Dr. Yin specializes in internal medicine (pulmonary diseases and digestive problems), shingles, and allergies, smoking cessation, and pain management (e.g. traumatic/auto/sports injury, cancer, spinal problem and fibromyalgia).  In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Yin also taught at the university in China. She currently acts as a professor and supervising physician at FCIM.
