Lin Chai, D.O.M, Ph.D. China
Dean of Academics, Professor
Dr. Chai earned her Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology. The Ph.D. degree was earned at Beijing University Of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Chai studied diseases and treatment under the guidance of the celebrated Professor Dong Jian Hua. She completed a systematic study of the treatment infectious diseases and digestive system diseases with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her doctoral dissertation is entitled "The Clinical and Experimental Study of Stomach-Spleen Damp-heat Syndrome."
Dr. Chai has combined acupuncture, massage, scraping and other traditional Chinese therapies, including herbal medicine, to treat a wide variety of diseases with positive results. From 1990 to 1996, she studied at Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She treated sequelae of apoplexy with acupuncture, massage and herbal medicine in a clinic in the suburbs of Beijing. She worked as an attending physician in Dongzhimen Hospital and attended patients in their homes to give medical advice and acupuncture treatment. She has been professionally related to Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Zhen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her academic achievements include the writing and publishing various academic articles.
Oksana Kless, M.D.
Dean of Modern Western Medicine, Professor
Dr. Kless graduated from the Medical University of Kiev, Ukraine with magna cum laud in 1990. Her training combined a traditional medicine approach with numerous Naturopathic modalities, such as nutrition, herbal medicine and physiotherapy. After receiving her doctorate diploma, Dr. Kless was accepted into a fellowship program at the National College of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatric Medicine.
She has participated in clinical research in Dermatology and continues her work as a research scientist. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Respiratory Physiology with a dedication to hypobaric oxygenation. At FCIM, Dr. Kless acts as the Dean of Modern Western Medicine and teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Radiology, and Microbiology.
Monica Gelpi AP
Clinic Director, professor 
Monica Gelpi, AP earned her Masters of Oriental Medicine after graduating from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2001. She continued post-graduate studies at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. Her clinical experience includes the treatment of patients for gynecology, pain management, chemical dependencies, emotional imbalances, auto-immune diseases and headaches or insomnia.
Currently, Monica is the Clinical Director of Florida College of Integrative Medicine (FCIM). As Director she oversees the clinical practice of students and would like to encourage those interested in receiving an acupuncture treatment, whether it is for health reasons or for curiosity’s sake, to come into our student clinic. It will be an enjoyable experience.
Monica also teaches the General & Clean Needle Techniques class at FCIM to prepare students for their clinical internship and supervises them in clinic to prepare students for their future clinical practice.
Xuguang
Yang, M.D. China, D.O.M.
Supervising Physician
Dr. Yang was trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine
for eight years in China. He has over 20 years of experience
in the use of acupuncture, herbal medicine and Tui Na.
He graduated at the Yunnan College of Traditional Chinese
Medicine in Kunming where he earned the MD. He
also trained at Hunan Academy of Traditional Chinese
Medicine and Materia Medica in Changsha where he earned
his Master’s Degree. His clinical experience includes
extensive practice in major hospital centers in China,
where he was Chief Physician and researcher for Traditional
Chinese Medicine.
His areas of clinical expertise include pain management
and the treatment of neurological, musculoskeletal disorders,
cardiovascular disease and ophthalmic disease. Dr. Yang
was a principle investigator and participated in many
research projects. He has published over ten papers,
was also co-author of eight books in Traditional Chinese
Medicine. He has been with FCIM for almost a year as
instructor and clinic supervisor.
Lichun Hang, AP, D.O.M
Professor
Dr. Lichun Huang is recognized as the world’s
top expert in the field of Auricular Medicine.
She has received the Recognition of Mastery and Lifetime
Achievement Award at the World International Symposium
on Auricular Therapy and Auricular Medicine. Dr. Huang
was honored as the top Medical Expert in her field by
the Chinese Government, and is a consultant to many
medical organizations throughout the world.
She has received a metal plaque award from the President
of Italy, in recognition of the series of the treatments
given to him during his visit to China. She led the
delegation of the Chinese Acupuncturists to teach these
skills to doctors in Cuba, and received the Friendship
and Struggle Award and Certificate from Cuba’s
President.
Dr. Huang is regarded as the most superior Auricular Medicine specialist in the world, and also as one of the top acupuncturists in China. She has treated over 250,000 patients throughout the world, among them succeeding generations of the top government leaders of China, and other foreign counties´ government officials; such as President of Italy and Cuba.
She has written and published four books on Auricular Diagnosis and Treatment in the Chinese language; three of which have been translated into English; one into Spanish and one into Portuguese.
Dr. Huang is now the President of Auricular Medicine International Research & Training Center (AMIRTC), which was founded to train and certify various levels of proficiency in Auricular Medicine; and to continue research in these areas.
Craig P. Adamson, B.S, A.P.
Professor
Craig P. Adamson has been a professor at FCIM since 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Central Florida in 1976 and worked as engineer in the high-tech electronics industry until the early 1990’s. He received a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the National College of Oriental Medicine in 1995 and a year later studied in Beijing, China where he received advanced training in acupuncture and TCM at the Xi Yuan Hospital.
He first began to teach at the T’ai College of
Oriental Medicine in 1997 where he taught Point Location,
Food Therapy, and Gynecology for three years.
He currently owns a successful private practice in Winter
Park, FL. Professor Adamson currently teaches
Point Location, Ear and Scalp Acupuncture and General
Principles of Acupuncture at FCIM.
Bernice Cabrera, A.P.
Supervising Physician
A graduate of FCIM, Dr. Cabrera has over six years of experience as an Acupuncture Physician. Certified in Acupoint Injection Therapy, Dr. Cabrera specializes in treating children with Autism, ADHD, and other medical conditions related to nutritional problems. She owns and operates a successful clinic in Winter Park, FL. Dr. Cabrera currently acts as a Supervising Physician in the clinic at FCIM.
Patricia Daniel-Gregory, A.P.
Professor, Supervising Physician
Dr. Daniel-Gregory graduated from the National College of Oriental Medicine in 2000. She then pursued an advanced internship at the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jinan, China.
She operates her own private practice in Titusville, FL and specializes in areas such as acute and chronic pain, respiratory problems, smoking cessation, and carpal tunnel syndrome. At FCIM, she teaches Identification of Disease Patterns and acts as a supervising physician in the clinic.
Xiangling He, M.D. China, D.O.M.
Professor, Supervising Physician
Dr. He graduated from Fujuan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1966 with advanced studies in Endocrinology and Laser Medicine Science from Sen-yet San University of Science .
She has treated over 300,000 patients and has over 35 years of clinical experience in areas such as Infertility, Diabetic Neuropathy, ADHD, Soft Tissue Injuries, Alopecia, Glandular Dysfunction, and Depression. She has served as a Medical Doctor at the Guangzhou Municipal Hospital and in the Kuwait Health Department, Kuwait.
She has given many lectures across the United States and received prestigious awards for various publications. Dr. He currently acts as a supervising physician in the clinic and teaches Treatment of Common Diseases at FCIM.
Glenn H. Osterweil, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.O.M.
Professor
Dr. Osterweil graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1985. He is Board Certified in Primary Podiatric Medicine and is an active member of the Societies of Podiatric Dermatology, Podiatric Medicine, and Laser Medicine and Surgery. He has made major contributions to the surgical treatment of Endoscopic Plantar Fasciotomy and corrective procedures. He has played a major role in trademark development of national foot care centers. He currently teaches Western Diagnostics at FCIM.
Brandt
Stickley, D.O.M.
Professor
A graduate of Cornell University, Dr. Stickley pursued
his studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He completed
his internship in Hangzhou, China with specialization
in Internal Medicine. He has studied Contemporary
Chinese Pulse Diagnosis since 1998 and is a certified
instructors. In addition to operating his own
private practice, Dr. Stickley is a faculty member of
two major colleges of Oriental Medicine. He conducts
workshops nationally and abroad. He currently
teaches Diagnostic Skills and Identification of Disease
Patterns at FCIM.
Chengchao Yin D.O.M, AP
Professor, Supervising Physician
Dr. Yin graduated from the Guang Xi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine mainland China as an honor student awarded by the Guang Xi province. She has established her residency combining with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine for three years. As chief physician, she worked in the pulmonary department and emergency room at the Guang Xi Gui Lin People’s Hospital in China.
Having integrated Chinese medicine and Western medicine, Dr. Yin has seen about 60,000 patients including 30,000 (major for pain management and internal medicine) at a physical therapy center in the U.S. With over ten years of clinical experience, Dr. Yin specializes in internal medicine (pulmonary diseases and digestive problems), shingles, and allergies, smoking cessation, and pain management (e.g. traumatic/auto/sports injury, cancer, spinal problem and fibromyalgia). In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Yin also taught at the university in China. She currently acts as a professor and supervising physician at FCIM.
